Variable income with a fixed schedule

I’m trialing Waypoint budget and so far I’m pretty impressed. One thing I’m running into is with the monthly income settings. I like how with fixed income, the pay cheque appears in the calendar. My income is a fixed date but slightly varies every 2 weeks especially when CPP and EI deductions are maxed for the year or retro pay etc… But variable income paydays don’t show up in the calendar 😒 Could the team look at all incomes being added to the calendar or for fixed income sources, being able to edit upcoming paydays/transactions?

    Hi Brandan,

    This is live now. Edit your income source and change "on no set schedule" to your real pay frequency (every two weeks in your case), pick your next payday, and your paydays will show on the calendar alongside fixed ones.



    Since the amount genuinely varies, the calendar shows an estimate based on your recent deposits, marked with a tilde. Until there's enough history it says "Varies" instead of inventing a number, and the estimate sharpens as paycheques come in.

    On your other idea about editing individual upcoming paydays on fixed sources: we're holding off for now since the schedule option covers the calendar visibility, but it's logged and we'll revisit if more people ask.
