Good suggestion and you were right that this was missing for variable income. We've just added a "Total Allocated" card to the Budget page for variable income users that shows the running total of all your monthly allocations across categories.
A bit of context on why it wasn't there before: for fixed income users, we show an "X allocated of Y income" progress card. We deliberately hid that for variable income because variable income is calculated live from your transactions and starts at $0 each month, making the comparison misleading early in the month.
But your underlying asks just seeing the total of what you've allocated is totally fair, so we've added it as a standalone card. It'll show up on your next refresh.
