Side Bar for Rollover Categories

Hi,

It would be great to have a separate sidebar or panel for rollover categories (like gifts, car maintenance, etc.). This panel could show each category’s current balance, plus a total of all rollover funds.

This would make it much easier to quickly see how much is set aside for future expenses without digging through the main budget.

Hi @Bee !

Thank you for the suggestion. We've actually already added a ROLLOVER badge on rollover categories on the budget page, plus each one shows its current balance and "$X to fund" status right inline. We think that gives you the visibility you need without adding a separate panel/sidebar (we previously simplified the dashboard by removing the standalone Funds tab and want to keep things focused).

Just for context we previously had put Funds/Rollover Categories in separate group but that caused tons of confusion and customer inquiries so we have decided against it.

If you have 5+ rollover categories and find the totals harder to track, let me know, we'd look at adding a small "total set aside" line at the bottom of the budget page. But for now we'll keep things as-is.

  You can see this on the Dashboard in the Category Breakdown section. If you think it would be helpful to have it on the Budget page, we can add it there as well.

  A small tally of rollover allocations, for the month, on the budget page would be great. And one tally of ALL rollovers on the accounts page would be great. This way you have a quick snapshot of your financial situation at any point in the year.
