Reports->Income to show received income
Currently under Reports, expenses are shown as actual expenses instead of budgeted. Income on the other hand shows the budgeted income instead. It is not as useful to see the budgeted income in the report as it is set but actual received income can vary over months and would be more beneficial to see that amount instead.
Even for varied income I see that system calculates an average monthly income create a budget with. That is very useful for budgeting purposes but not as useful when looking at historical data in reports.

Just as an idea … could it be possible to set up the Income under the report section just like the Expense breakdown section. With the date selection on the top, it’s easy to drill down and access the breakdown for each category. Thanks.

Good to hear from you, been a while @Jpersoons! I think this was an excellent idea, thanks for brining it up :)
We already feed in your income data to the reports page so it was really easy to do. You should now see a new tab on the Breakdown card for income which should breakdown your income.

Hey Karem, thanks again for a super helpful suggestion! Please keep these coming. I agree with showing the actual income earned for historical data especially because it’s helpful to see how you actually did whereas the budgeted income isn’t very insightful.
I initially had it set up this way because I didn’t have a good setup for income tracking but now that people can connect banks and usually import their CSV’s with their income information this definitely makes sense.
I’ve updated the Reports page now to reflect this and also made some minor improvements along the way like projection for current month.
