Monthly Budget Progress Tracking
You already have a Planned budget amount for each category for a given month, add Actual (the amount currently spent) and Remaining (the amount unspent so far). This would make managing the budget more meaningfull. You could also make it easy to move money from one category to another to balance under and over categories that month.

Thanks @Niels Damgaard, this is in.
On the Budget page, open the ⋯ menu beside Add Category and choose Show spending. Every budget row and group gets a thin bar and one number for the month: "$x left" in green, or "$x over" in red once a category is over. Rollover categories show what's available, and a yearly expense outside its month says nothing is due. It's off by default and remembered on your device, so flip it once and it stays. The amounts you set stay where they are, and rows still open the budget dialog.
Two things we chose not to do. The amounts aren't editable in the row, and there's no moving money between categories mid-month. A budget you can nudge in one tap stops being a budget, and we'd rather the page tells you where you stand than invite a reshuffle every week. For a month that doesn't fit, "This month only" in a row's budget dialog changes that month alone, and the new Category history in the same dialog shows what you usually spend when it's time to reset a number for good.
