I would like to be able to input multiple income sources into the budget area. I have my regular paycheque, but also some benefits, and some self employment income, but because some of the amounts can change month to month I would like to manually put them all in as you do with Fixed Income instead of using the Variable Income Income type which tracks over the last 30 days. So essentially within Fixed Income I would like to add multiple items.

    Hi everyone, great news, this feature is now live! 🎉                                                       

    You can now track multiple income sources in your budget. On the Budget page, click your Monthly Income and you'll see a new option: "Have multiple income sources? Use income streams instead".                          

    Once you switch, you can add as many sources as you'd like:

      - Primary paycheque (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly)                             

      - Government benefits (CCB, EI, etc.)                                                                         

      - Rental income 
      - Partner's income                                               

      - Side gigs / freelance                                                                                       

    Each source has its own frequency and amount. Paydays also show up on your calendar so you can see exactly when each deposit is coming.    

    A couple of things to note:                                                                                   

      - You can switch back to a single income at any time without losing your setup      

      - Each source gets a smart icon (auto-picked based on the name), which you can change by clicking the icon    

      - Household budgets work too, each member manages their own sources

        Haha that’s great news! And that’s the goal, to have something leftover for your life goals, savings etc at the end of each month :)

    Thanks for asking this question. My wife works and I would like to add her fixed income to the budget to accurately reflect our true income. This would go along way to helping us make goals too. Looking forward to a resolution.

      Hey Michael, I’m close to getting this done. just need to refine and test everything. Expect something very soon, maybe early next week :)

    Hi Stevie,

    Thanks for the feature suggestion. I believe this was requested by a couple other folks too and I could see how this could be useful for people with multiple income streams(myself included). I’ll think about this over this weekend and try to draft a plan. Just need to see how this would fit with other pages like the Dashboard, reporting etc. but it seems quite feasible as a whole :)

    I’ll keep you posted here and if I have any questions, hope it’s okay to bug you about those.
