I have a lot of old bank accounts and I’d like to retain the transactions from them. When I add a new transaction I go cross-eyed trying to find the right account. I would love a way to hide accounts from this list please :)
Good news! This is live now. You can now close your old accounts.
Open Transactions, then Banks, tap any account under your manual bank cards, and flip on "Closed account" in the edit sheet. Every transaction on it stays in your history and reports. The account leaves the account picker, the Accounts widget and net worth, so your list in Add Transaction only shows the accounts you still use.
Closed accounts sit under a "closed accounts" row at the bottom of each bank card, with Reopen one tap away. If you ever need to back-date a transaction onto one, the same row appears at the bottom of the account picker and expands in place.
Thanks for the screenshot and I hope that list looks a little less annoying moving forward!
