Deleting a category for this month and future months only
I get that the idea is to set categories to 0$ so that you can easily use them again in the future, but if I plan to cut out a subscription service for example, I don’t want to have to choose between keeping that 0$ category in my dashboard forever or creating a bucnh of uncategorized transactions in the past.
Consider adding an option to allow deleting a category for all future months while leaving historical months the same.

This is shipped! You can now archive a category instead of deleting it.
Archiving keeps every past transaction and report exactly as they are, and removes the category from your budget, category pickers, and auto categorization going forward. No more choosing between a $0 category sitting on your dashboard forever and a pile of uncategorized transactions in your history.
To use it: go to Manage Categories, tap delete on the category, and choose "Archive Instead". Archived categories live in a collapsed Archived section at the bottom of Manage Categories, and you can restore one anytime if you start using it again.

I like your idea and I’m not sure if this is the same thing, but I would really like to be able to leave something in my budget but with a zero budget temporarily. For example, I paused a subscription for three months so I want to be able to say $0 for the next 3 months, but keep it in my budget so after 3 months all I have to do is assign the proper budget again for the 4th month. Plus I renamed the budget temporarily to include the date the pause is until so I like to see that still as a reminder. I ended up assigning it .01 cents just so that it stays in the budget.

Good news for your pause case too: you no longer need the $0.01 trick. Set the category to $0 starting from the month the pause begins (edit it in a future month with "Every month"), then set the real amount again from the month it resumes. The category now stays visible at $0 in the months in between, so it keeps working as the reminder you wanted, and the renamed note idea still works alongside it.

Exactly that. Archiving hides it from everything forward looking while keeping it in your history, and you can bring it back anytime.
