Changing Category name should update existing Transactions with said category

When I rename a category, existing transactions keep the old name being marked as “Uncategorized“ transactions in the Detailed Category Breakdown under reports. Clicking “Uncategorized“ shows;

No transactions found for this category in the selected period.
Try adjusting the date range or check if transactions are excluded from budget.
