Better Sync Updates

Is it possible to improve the sync for certain connections? TD and Amex Canada for example connected through plaid take several days for new transactions to pop up or switch from pending to posted even with repeated manual sync requests. Those same transactions are almost instant if I manually sync those banks on monarch with the same plaid connection.

    This one’s live now. Tapping Sync on a Plaid bank now asks Plaid to go back to the bank right away instead of waiting for its own schedule, which is the same thing Monarch’s refresh does. New and newly posted transactions usually land within a minute or two. The toast will say “Checking with TD” while that happens, and the rows show up on their own, no second tap needed.

    A couple of things to know: it runs once per bank every 12 hours (later taps that day are the normal sync), and a few banks don’t allow it on their side, in which case Sync just works the way it did before. TD also only lets Plaid pull updates during a window in the early morning, so a refresh on TD in the evening may still show nothing until the next morning.

    Thanks for flagging it. We didn’t enable it early on because of costs issues but as we have been scaling I think it’s a good time to introduce it :)
