Auto populate expense amount

I am wondering if there is a way/it would be useful for the total amount to auto populate with the amount we have set in the budget and then we can change it? It may not make sense if it is a line item that you budget for the whole month (like groceries) but many items are one offs. That could just be a personal preference of mine though!
