Additional Charts and Stats on Reporting Page

Feature Request

Hi, I’d love to see a few additions to the Reports page to make financial trends and summaries easier to analyze, especially on mobile:

  • Category & Group Breakdown Over Time: A stacked bar or line chart showing category/group trends month-by-month, making it easy to see how spending in each category shifts over time.

  • Combined Trends: Combine the Income vs. Expense chart and the Monthly Savings Trend by adding a subtle, muted savings line directly onto the Income vs. Expense chart.

  • Additional Spending Stats: Add quick summary metrics such as average transaction amount, daily spending average, and largest spending day.

  • Mobile UI Polish:

    1. Redesign the Earned/Spent/Saved overview card on mobile so all three metrics fit on screen without requiring horizontal scrolling.

    2. Improve the Category Breakdown navigation on smaller screens.

  • (Bonus) Day-of-Week Spending Heatmap: A visual showing which days of the week (e.g., weekends vs. weekdays) you spend the most money on average. This is more of a nice to have, maybe difficult addition so totally up to you.

  • Also would love Sankey diagram but there is already a feature request for that.

    Initially requesting this because currently the only way to see a bar chart of category is on the budget modification UI, or look at the numbers in report category breakdown. My main goal here is to easily visualize how spending in a specific category or group trends over months. So adding charts with category/group filtering would achieve this.
